MANY in itself presents a great opportunity for service providers in the region to communicate with each other both in an educational and testimonial capacity. I have been a member of the organization for over 5 years now, but never have I seen the full potential of MANY before Megan was the Executive Director. With her youthful energy, new ideas and dedication, she has transformed the many services MANY provides into being more of a community, user-friendly and more responsive to the needs of its members. She conducts herself in a professional manner and does not rest until tasks are completed to satisfaction. I would recommend that people experience both MANY’s services and Megan’s leadership so that they too can experience the personal, professional and social growth I have.
MANY is a wonderful organization that has been most helpful to us throughout the past couple of years. Our agency, Children, Youth, & Family Services, have attended several training sessions with MANY. The annual conference has been incredible-with amazing presentations, food, and networking. We appreciate everything that MANY has provided to us and are quite thankful to each of you.
Children’s Home Society of WV is a multi-site, multi-program child and family service agency with statewide presence. The Parkersburg site of the agency has for many years identified the need for assistance to runaway and homeless youth (beyond our services to children already in the foster care and juvenile systems). For several years site director we submitted an application for a basic center through the federal DHHS, but these applications have not been funded. This year, we utilized the technical assistance support of MANY to review the application prior to submitting it. They made some very insightful and helpful suggestions, and responded very quickly and timely. We have just received word that our application this year was accepted for a grant, beginning in September 2008. We are very appreciative of the technical assistance support, the valuable knowledge and skill base, that MANY provides to its member agencies.
MANY provides so many networking and training opportunities that foster growth both personally and for our programs. Their trainings are targeted to what we do and are presented by people who have done the work and are familiar with our programs. I always leave with something that enhances our work.
MANY has been a real asset to our work in the field of RHY. Creative, hard working, knowledgeable, and helped our organization reach higher, are only a few of the things MANY has done for us. If you need help in the RHY field, they are the partner to have.
Our agency has worked closely with MANY over 15 years. MANY has been a reliable resource for our agency in providing relevant information on the activities, decisions and provisions of the Runaway & Homeless Youth network; as well as providing consultation and training opportunities for our staff. MANY is always willing to give support to our efforts in providing the best possible service to the youth we serve.
I have worked with Megan as the Executive Director of the Mid Atlantic Network of Youth and Family Services (MANY). As Executive Director it was through Megan’s exceptional leadership that the Mid Atlantic Network has been able to serve as a leader in the field youth services to hudreds of runaway and homeless youth grantees funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services throughout the Mid Atlantic States of Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. It is through her exceptional leadership that she has been able to build a team of experienced staff that has access to a wide range resources that help agencies and their staff address the issues and challenges associated with operating a youth service agency.
